Job Summary:

LACKEY GRADING CO, INC. is seeking an experienced GRADING Project Superintendent to join our team. We are a family owned business that has been around since 1970. Our expertise is in GRADING but we also perform demolition, hauling, clearing, sitework and some utilites.

This job will comes with a company vehicle, which means you MUST have a clean driving record.

The Project Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, excellent leadership skills, and a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities:

- Manage and supervise all on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans and specifications

- Coordinate and schedule subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors

- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, identify any issues or delays, and implement corrective actions as necessary

- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and OSHA standards

- Conduct quality control inspections to ensure work meets established standards

- Review and interpret project plans, blueprints, and specifications

- Collaborate with project managers to develop and maintain project schedules

- Maintain accurate records of project progress, including daily reports, change orders, and RFIs

- Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders

- Resolve any conflicts or disputes that may arise during the construction process

- Must be able to complete any paperwork required onsite by the GC. (ex. Equipment checklists)

-Will have the ability to hire new employees and fire (under reasonable cause)

-MUST be able to run mutliple projects at 1 time

Experience:

- Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction management or a related field

- Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and materials

- Proficiency in using construction management software such as ProCORE & BUSYBUSY

- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications

- Excellent supervisory and leadership skills

- Strong organizational and time management abilities

- Exceptional problem-solving skills

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
