Labworks is Hiring a Phlebotomist Near Calera, AL

Responsibilities:
- Perform venipuncture and collect blood specimens from patients
- Prepare and label specimens for laboratory testing
- Follow proper protocols and maintain aseptic technique during blood sampling
- Ensure accurate patient identification and specimen labeling
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Adhere to all safety and infection control procedures
- Provide excellent patient service and ensure patient comfort during the phlebotomy process
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure proper specimen collection and processing
- Handle and process specimens according to established protocols

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current certification as a phlebotomist (e.g., CPT, PBT, or similar)
- Experience working in a hospital or clinical laboratory setting is preferred
- Proficient in venipuncture techniques and blood collection procedures
- Familiarity with specimen collection processing and handling requirements
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in specimen labeling and documentation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with patients and healthcare professionals

Weekly Schedule:

Saturday and Sunday 9a-2p

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
