LabWorks, LLC, an independent clinical lab based in Birmingham, AL is immediately seeking a PRN phlebotomist and collector at various offices in North AL This position will be based in a clinical setting and is as needed. This role has many functions, primarily being the drawing of patients, collecting specimens, entering lab orders into the LIS system and tracking results. Paid training will be available at start of position to ensure a smooth transition. Phlebotomy, Pediatrics, Specimen Collection, and Data Entry experience is required. Applicants must have a strong desire to work and do so in a calm and effective manner.

Responsibilities and Duties

- Draw and collect all patients per physician lab orders

- Collect multiple source specimens

- Enter all lab orders into LIS system software

- Ensure proper delivery of results to appropriate staff

- This position can have long hours of sitting and computer work

- Can effectively and efficiently communicate with supervisors, clinical staff/patients, and lab employees.

- Can multi-task on several projects / duties at the same time

Qualifications and Skills

- Must have a current license in phlebotomy from an accredited institution. Proof will be required.

- Ability to sit long hours

- Experience with Microsoft Office, LIS order entry systems, and all other related software

- At least 2 years Pediatric Experience

- Must have 3 years related experience in either a hospital, office or draw-site

- Ability to work overtime if necessary

• Hartselle, AL: Relocate before starting work (Required)
