Labrie Environmental Group, an industry leader in the manufacture of refuse trucks, is searching for its next Field Service Technician to join our Customer Support Team. This is a full-time, permanent position with a home office based in the Northeast region of North America (U.S. and Canada), servicing the areas of Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, as well as portions of Eastern Canada. We are an OEM Service & Parts division, supporting a nation-wide distributor network, as well as direct national account customers. We provide product support in a heavy mobile equipment environment.
The Field Service Technician will have the responsibility for providing technical assistance and information to our distributors and end users through on-site visits and by phone/computer conferencing. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, troubleshooting equipment, repairs, training maintenance personnel, and overall customer relations, in addition to documentation and reporting on activities.
A clear understanding of mobile electronics, hydraulic and pneumatic systems is required, along with a knowledge of heavy trucks and equipment. Physical requirements are the ability to climb on, in or around all mobile equipment to evaluate and repair the product. Qualified candidates will possess a minimum of two (2) years training in heavy equipment or vehicle repair, hydraulics or related technologies, and must be self-motivated and able to work independently. Field service experience is desirable.
Travel within the region should be considered routine and occasional travel outside the region may be necessary. Since travel is necessary, a passport and convenient access to a major airport hub is desirable.
We offer a competitive wage and benefit package. Salary varies based on experience.
