Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator for 3rd shift to join our team. As a CNC Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce high-quality machined parts. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
Duties:
- Set up and operate CNC machines to perform machining operations according to specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and job orders to determine machine setup, production methods, and sequence of operations
- Load raw materials into the machine and monitor the machining process to ensure accuracy and quality
- Make adjustments to machine settings as needed to maintain proper dimensions and tolerances
- Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Inspect finished products using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and make improvements in the production process
- Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area
Experience:
- Previous experience operating CNC machines in a manufacturing or production environment
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, engineering drawings, and job orders
- Strong knowledge of machining techniques and processes
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers
- Experience with CAM programming is a plus
- Ability to program CNC machines is highly desirable
