We buy chemicals in bulk and put them into smaller containers for our customers. Our customers are across highly regulated industries such as pharmaceutical, food and beverage, and transportation. Therefore, accuracy is key.

The Shipping Lead will be a player-coach role focused on packaging, labeling, and ensuring the Shipping Associates are focused on quality, accuracy, and timeliness. This is a closely knit team who really enjoy working with each other. Although the work is fast-paced, safety and accuracy come before speed.

Essential Responsibilities: 

• Follow and ensure others are in compliance with all company policies regarding packaging 
• Ensure the packaging/shipping area is operating as efficiently as possible 
• Ensure all company packaging instructions for safety and product integrity are being upheld
• Identify and remove of defective items before they are shipped to customers
• Train packaging associates how to package in a regulated environment. 
• Work within and make sure associates are working within safety and housekeeping guidelines
• Monitor shipping supplies
• Monitor dangerous goods
• Work with the Operations and Fulfillment leaders to resolve shipping related issues or discrepancies in a timely manner. 
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Expertise: 

• Must have prior experience in warehouse distribution and/or regulated packaging environment
• 2 years of experience in a lead or supervisory role with the ability to coach and mentor others
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Ability and willingness to comply and ensure compliance with all regulatory safety and environmental requirements
• Proven detail focus
• Hazmat experience preferred
• Familiarization with UPS Worldship is a plus

Physical Demands

• Substantial movements (motion) of the wrist, hands, and/or fingers in a repetitive manner.
• Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less); distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more); color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors).
• Continuous standing, walking, using stairs, hearing, talking, bending, crouching, and working closely with others.

Schedule & reporting details: 

Full-time 40 hours per week with occasional overtime.
