LaAmistad is Hiring a Spanish Teacher Near Atlanta, GA

LaAmistad is seeking a Spanish Teacher for several Spanish classes for adults both in-person and online. Experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares, delivers and evaluates assigned instructional courses. 
  • Creates, and updates class syllabi as needed 
  • Develops supplemental teaching material and strategies to help students practice
  • Documents and evaluates students’ progress
  • Performs other relevant duties as assigned
  • Create pacing guides to structure classes based of students' skill level
  • Each role with LaAmistad is part of a strong team. To support the team, you will likely be required to walk quickly across varying distances on our campuses, lift and carry supplies andother materials, push heavy rolling carts, and climb multiple flights of stairs as well as have adequate hearing and vision to successfully navigate the requirements of the position. 
  • Provide Own Laptop
  • Requires the physical mobility to sit or walk for moderate periods of time and to daily carry or lift objects weighing up to 30 pounds.

 Qualifications

Strong knowledge of Spanish grammar and idioms

Bilingual native Spanish speaker

2 years teaching experience with adults 

Experience working with a pre-set course outline 

Interactive teaching style

Ability to motivate students and making learning fun

Ability to create cultural exposure in or outside of the classroom to facilitate learning

Requires the physical mobility to sit or walk for moderate periods of time and to occasionally carry or lift objects weighing up to 30 pounds.

Must provide own Laptop, If needed.

Strong organizational skills along with a sense for detail and follow-up

Excellence in communicating with diverse audiences

 Compensation: The hourly amount is competitive and based on education and experience. This position is part-time and has the opportunity to add additional classes as needed. .

Every other Friday at 2:00pm -4:30pm
