Summary of Position:La Vida Hospitality is seeking a self-motivated Maintenance Technician in the Middletown, Delaware area. They will provide a full range of installation and repair in order to maintain smooth functionality and appearance in our various hospitality locations. They must have an aptitude for general upkeep, maintenance, lighting, and light carpentry. In addition, they must be committed to safety in the use of all tools/equipment, must be physically able to perform the duties of the job (climb ladders, perform repetitive motion, walk/stand, etc.), and must have solid interpersonal and customer service skills. The ideal candidate will have experience providing fix-it capabilities with light carpentry, furniture repair, light plumbing repair, and light electrical repair.

Duties & Responsibilities: 

• Performs routine and preventive maintenance to ensure ongoing functioning of systems, facilities, and equipment
• Addresses potential issues before they escalate, ensuring facilities are in optimal condition
• Proactively maintains the appearance and functionality of all restaurant areas, including dinner areas, kitchen, restrooms, and outdoor spaces
• Works with the interior design team to decorate for holidays and special events throughout the year
• Follows all safety policies and procedures
• Completes any reports or logs
• Performs other related duties, as assigned

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of relevant experience with demonstrated ability to provide fix-it capabilities with light carpentry, furniture repair, light plumbing repair, and light electrical repair
• Highly professional and dependable
• Safety and customer service oriented
• Must have reliable work vehicle and tools
• Communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with co-workers, vendors, and others
• Able to work independently on projects and as a member of a team
• Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple locations effectively
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Maintenance, technical skill or trade certifications are preferred;
• Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects, as needed

Hours & Pay:This position pays $20-28/hour with awesome employee perks. This position is part-time with flexible hours (mornings are preferable) and flexibility between the locations nearest to you.
