Primary Purpose:
Assist teachers with behavior and instructional support. Assist teachers in the preparation and management of classroom including diffusing disruptive student behavior to refocus and transition students into classroom activities. Work directly under the supervision of a certified teacher and/or campus administrator.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Associate’s degree or 48 college hours at an institute of higher learning preferred
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Ability to assist in behavior management and intervention
Ability to assist instructing reading, writing, and mathematics
Ability to work well with children
Ability to communicate effectively
Experience
Some experience working with children who exhibit behavior problems.
