La Roche University is currently accepting applications for the position of Computer Support Analyst, part of the University’s Information Technology (IT) Department. The Computer Support Analyst is responsible for campus wide computer service duties, which include, but are not limited to the maintenance, backup, security, support, problem resolution, development, and research relating to the support of Academic and Administrative computing.

The Computer Support Analyst reports directly to the Associate Director, IT Infrastructure. This is a full time, non-exempt position and is eligible for corresponding full time benefits.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Maintain, install, troubleshoot and repair university computers and peripheral equipment; provide hardware and software support for staff, faculty and students.
• Alert supervisor(s), and respond to computer viruses, security breaches, and safety concerns.
• Respond to work orders as assigned in timely fashion; perform help desk functions and assist members of the IT Department as needed.
• Coordinate and install computer equipment, security systems, furniture, instructional tools, and all peripheral equipment of the University. Schedule and apply hardware and software upgrades to computer equipment; ensure successful implementation.
• Maintain a stable operating environment of all computers by managing the available resources of computers in accordance with academic and administrative computing requirements.
• Provide support and assistance to the Computer Labs Supervisor, including in smart classrooms and related areas as necessary.
• Maintain up to date computer images.
• Monitor and attend to the usage of computing resources and supplies of labs and associated areas.
• Collaborate with other IT staff on the development of conceptual frameworks, strategic planning initiatives, project plans and budget preparation relating to computing and network infrastructure needs.

Education/Qualifications:

• Knowledge and experience utilizing/ troubleshooting hardware, operating systems, and software for Apple & IBM compatibles computers
• Knowledge and experience with network operating systems, server administration; experience with laser printers, scanners and peripheral equipment preferred
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office and other commonly used desktop software
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse constituents and exhibit a customer service focus
• Must be highly organized and able to manage a dynamic/changing workload
• Baccalaureate degree and relevant job-related experience preferred; technical certification with related experience will be considered in lieu of degree
• Ability to work non-traditional hours such as evening, weekends, possible on-call
