Position Summary:

The hotel Houseperson is an hourly position reporting directly to the Department Supervisor. The Houseperson is responsible for DRIVING HOTEL SHUTTLE, verall cleanliness of the hotel corridors and public areas. Typical shift hours are between 6am - 2pm.

Our company is looking for a Hotel Houseperson to join our team.
Responsibilities:

• Must be able drive hotel shuttle to Airport and local hospitals.
• Assist with Breakfast Service.
• Deliver and pick-up guest request items when assigned.
• Maintain cleanliness of the stairwells.
• Responding to guest requests and inquiries.
• Assists with trash removal.
• Perform various cleaning of public spaces and meeting rooms.
• Conducting light maintenance.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the corridors.
• Cleaning assigned public and housekeeping areas.

Requirements:

• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
• Availability to holidays and weekends is required.
• Adhere to brand and company standards.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.

Requirements:

• Previous hotel experience preferred, but not required.
• Clean driving record required.
• Friendly and outgoing personality.
• Guests first attitude.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule with late PM hours.
• You must be able to pass a thorough background check.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule with early AM or late PM hours.
• Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, kneeling, and walking.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to effectively communicate.
• Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry or otherwise move packages, boxes and luggage.
• Ability to stand, walk and/or sit and continuously perform essential job functions.
• Sufficient manual dexterity in both hands to be able to load and unload luggage.

PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS

· Prolonged periods of standing, carrying, and walking

· Firm and simple grasping are required for all aspects of this position.

· Climbs stairs 20% of the time.

· Bending and/or stooping up to 60% of the time while performing essential tasks

· Being on knees up to 40% of the day cleaning floors, under sink & commode and under beds.

· Standing and walking within the confines of the laundry room most of the time

· Pushing and pulling for approximately 75% of the time.

· Lift 25 – 30 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds with assistance.

· Twisting torso for approximately 75% of the time.

· Reaching above shoulder level, less than 5% of the time.

· Squatting is required 5% of the time.

· May experience exposure to animal dander, hair, and other by-products

· Capable of working in a fast-paced environment.

· Must be flexible in hours/days.

· Some Weekends are required.

· Must respond to multiple task interruptions in order to provide service to internal and external customers.
