We are currently seeking a full-time, night-shiftLPN. This position is ideal for someone who is compassionate, dependable, detail-oriented, prioritizes well, enjoys mentoring/educating others, values teamwork, and LOVES seniors. Experience in assisted living, memory care, or long-term care is a plus.

Description:

  • Under the immediate administrative supervision of the LPN Supervisor the LPN is responsible for the overall care for assisted living residents including administration and documentation of medications and treatments.

Responsibilities/Activities:

  • Performs nursing related tasks including; medication review, medication administration, documenting medication administration in EMP, monitoring compliance with physician orders.
  • Perform and documents all treatments as ordered.
  • Assesses residents for possible need of medication and/or treatment interventions.
  • Inform LPN Supervisor of any significant change in residents’ condition.
  • Order and store medication.
  • Maintains clean and neat medication cart and room.
  • Monitor and record supply use as directed.
  • Observe the resident’s functioning and report as appropriate.
  • Develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with others.
  • Communicate well with residents and co-workers.
  • Attend orientation, in-service training sessions and staff meetings.
  • Direct, monitors, and supervises the work of Resident Assistants (certified caregivers).

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Ability to identify problems and report to supervisor.
  • Ability to understand written and oral instructions.
  • Ability to communicate information orally and in writing.
  • Ability to suggest ideas on a subject.

Physical and Mental Demands:

  • Physical ability to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear and see.
  • Ability to recognize stressful situations and request help when needed.
  • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities.
  • Ability to relate with staff, residents and physicians in affair, tactful and courteous manner under all circumstances.
  • High Level of flexibility and tolerance to adjust in changes in workloads, assignments, and to work effectively under stress of meeting resident’s needs.

Qualifications/Education

  • Graduated from accredited school of nursing.
  • Current LPN license by the Arizona State Board of Nursing.
  • Fingerprint Card.
  • Current First Aide and Heart Saver certification.
