Nursing Supervisor - PM and NOC Shift
Position Summary:
Supervise the day-to-day nursing activities of the facility.
Qualifications:
- Current, California nursing license in good standing
- Current valid CPR certification required
- One year staff nurse and three years of management experience in an acute care facility
- Nursing degree or graduation from an accredited college or approved LVN or RN program
Responsibilities:
- Maintain an acceptable standard of nursing practice and professional decorum
- Be courteous, considerate, and cooperative when communicating with all facility staff, residents, and public
- Knowledge of Federal and State Regulations governing long-term care nursing facilities
- Knowledge and implementation of the facility’s policies and procedures
- Direct and assist Licensed Nurses in clinical performances areas
- Perform the function and responsibilities of a Charge Nurse as assigned
- React appropriately to emergencies and disaster situations
- Complete accident/incident reports as necessary
- Notify the Administrator and/or Director of Nursing of any serious situation
- Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as required
