General Summary
La Jolla Group is seeking a Senior Planner to join the team. The Senior Planner will play a key role in brand execution by: creating and maintaining analytically driven demand, supply, and inventory plans; then socializing those plans with key functional partners to ensure cohesive execution of the business.

Essential Job Functions
  • Create and maintain demand plans at multiple levels of channel and product aggregation across multiple time periods by analyzing financial targets, historical sales data, commercial forecasts, sell-in/through, and other market insights.
  • Socialize demand plans with Finance, Merchandising, Sales, and other cross functional stakeholders to obtain buy-in and drive downstream business planning.
  • Establish seasonal volume and SKU count targets by category to guide merchandising and design decision making by analyzing sales data and historical product lines in consideration of seasonal demand plans and business objectives.
  • Own the monthly inventory buy process:
o Identify and obtain buy-in for seasonal inventory buy needs in accordance with supply chain calendar and demand plans.
o Obtain functional stakeholder alignment on buy needs and work with Production to ensure buys are appropriately executed.
  • Analyze and forecast inventory volume, mix, and flow to drive inventory optimization strategies. Work with stakeholders to establish plans that maximize margin on available inventory through sales channel allocations and markdown timing.
  • Complete ad hoc analytical requests and provide meaningful business insights to support various business objectives.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Advanced knowledge of forecasting and planning tools and techniques.
  • 6 years of experience planning and forecasting a seasonal business.
  • Advanced Excel and data management skills (lookups, pivot tables, etc.)
  • Advanced presentation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple project timelines while ensuring high quality work.
  • Ability to quickly adapt tactical execution in response to changing business dynamics.
  • Ability to thrive in a hybrid working environment through open communication and self-discipline.
  • Apparel industry experience a plus.
Required Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Supply Chain or related field
  • 6 years experience planning a seasonal business
This is a fully Remote position.
Physical Requirements
Seeing: Must be able to see well enough to read reports.
Hearing: Must be able to hear well enough to communicate with customers, vendors and employees.
Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling: Must be able to stoop or kneel to pick up products.
Lifting/Pulling/Pushing: Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds.
Fingering/Grasping/Feeling: Must be able to type and use technical sources.
