Description

This position is responsible for following all Food Safety and Quality requirements as outlined in La Colombe’s Good Manufacturing Policy, the position Standard Operating Procedures and facility employee training sessions. The position is also required to report any concerns that may impact Food Safety or Quality to their immediate supervisor, the plant Quality Manager or the Plant Manager. Hours: Sunday through Thursday 7:30pm - 6am. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Effectively and efficiently operate the HTST unit in accordance with all Federal, State and Local rules and regulations

Be able to communicate effectively between management and personnel. -

Maintains accurate and legible documentation during processing to include: SQF, Master Sanitation, Product Traceability, Batch Sheets, and other documents as needed to meet regulatory requirements.

Ensure that the chart recording charts are being filled out and changed in a timely manner to avoid any overlapping of information being recorded.

Ensures that all rules and regulations established with the holding, storage and pasteurization of milk as stated in the PMO are being observed and followed.

Work with Local State Authorities to conduct and complete quarterly testing of the HTST unit.

Be able to read and understand Charts and Chart Recorders.

Must possess the ability to multi-task several critical operations at any given moment.

Must be punctual and able to work under stressful time frames.

Works closely with production supervisors to ensure timely delivery of product to minimize downtime.

Works closely with the laboratory to ensure products are formulated and tested to meet quality and regulatory requirements.

Responsible for taking and documenting all product samples to the lab as necessary.

Monitors and documents chemical concentrations to ensure proper cleaning of equipment.

Perform all preventative maintenance as per department schedule.

Must keep the work area and machines clean at all times.

Must follow all safety policies and procedures at all times.

Must follow companies GMP’s, SOP’s, and SSOP’s at all times.

Must wear appropriate PPE at all times.

Perform other related duties as assigned by Manager/Supervisor.

Qualifications


Finger dexterity for securing clamps and pipe connections.

Must be able to push/pull stacks of product into position for handling

Must be able to continuously stand, walk, flex, stretch, twist and move throughout the area for 8 to 12 hours

Must be able to climb stairs

Ability to organize and analyze process problems

Must have basic arithmetic skills; able to read and understand instructions; and able to write legibly

Must be able to monitor and inspect inventory and reconcile receipt/distribution of product

Must be able to follow instructions with minimal supervision

Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Processes
