La Clinica is currently recruiting Family Medicine Physicians for our five team-based ambulatory primary care sites in Southern Oregon:
We are a federally qualified community health center (FQHC) that is committed to serving a diverse group of people, many of whom face barriers to care. At all of our primary care sites, our multi-disciplinary teams focus on providing excellent medical care and supporting the emotional and social needs of our patients, both adults and children. These teams include a mix of physicians, family nurse practitioners, physician assistants, health coaches, nurses, MAs, registration personnel and team leads. Each team has a clinical leader and our practice also employs a psychiatric nurse practitioner. Our primary care sites provide outpatient services, with no inpatient or obstetrical responsibilities.
We have structures in place that support cooperative teamwork for both illness related and preventive care: workflows, decision support and a controlled substances policy. Our administrative structure is likewise built around teams and budgets and is prepared at the team level by members of the team who are led by a site director and clinical director.
Our compensation allows you to comfortably live in an area with both a great outdoor and cultural life. The Oregon Shakespeare festival, whose season runs from February through November, is highly regarded for both traditional drama and innovative productions. There is fine dining and a diverse visual arts and musical performance scene. The Rogue River, the Upper Sacramento and small Cascade streams are nearby and there are numerous mountain lakes within an hour drive of our valley. Additionally, we have a number of fine golf courses and an active community of endurance athletes, mountain bikers and hikers who enjoy the extensive trail network. There are excellent public and private secondary educational opportunities in the area as well as the campus of Southern Oregon University.
La Clinica encourages a work/life balance with full time employees generally working a four-day week, with four weeks of paid vacation per year to start, in addition to a week of CME.We are a National Health Service Corp (NHSC) loan repayment site, with a medical HPSA score of 12.
Successful applicants must have graduated from an accredited medical school and have completed a family medicine residency, with board certification or board eligibility. We prefer experience with low-income children and families and in migrant and community health. English language fluency is expected, and Spanish language proficiency is valued. Applicants must possess an active medical license (MD or DO). Applicants must also possess CPR certification and an active DEA license.
