L Occitane en Provence is Hiring a Manager, Inventory Control Near Dayton, NJ

JOB SUMMARY:The primary purpose of the role is to effectively manage the inventory accuracy within the Distribution Center for L’Occitane, Elemis, and Erborian and to onboard any other brands as defined by the business. This role will work with the operations teams within the Distribution Center to ensure there is alignment between internal processes and the inventory accuracy. This role will work cross-functionally with the brands to make sure their needs are clearly defined and will communicate on deliverables as defined. This role will be responsible to develop a cadence of reports that will be followed by both the internal DC team and the brands. This role will be accountable to the inventory accuracy reported through executing cycle counts. The goal is to increase efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction, while adhering to all company and department policies, procedures, and processes.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Personnel and Department Management
    • Ensure daily, weekly, and monthly expectations are clearly defined for the Supervisor, and that it is being communicated downstream to the Coordinators.
    • Meet weekly (minimum; or as needed) with brand Supply Chains to ensure clear expectations.
    • Ensure any process executed in the Inventory Control Department is documented in SOP format and maintain the SOPs going forward.
    • Coach department through dedicated weekly meetings and in-the-moment feedback.
  • Safety, Security and Housekeeping
    • Enforce safety policies and procedures through monitoring of employees’ execution and direct feedback to the supervisor.
    • Understand building security procedures and assist in opening and closing duties as needed.
    • Ensure the department meets the NADC cleanliness and organization standards.
  • Cycle Counts
    • Ensure the process is in place to count the entire Distribution Center in accordance with agreed upon guidelines between the local DC, the Group, and PwC.
    • Follow execution of the cycle counts on a weekly basis.
  • Kit Production Inventory Management
    • Work closely with the Kit Production Manager and Brand Supply Chains to ensure stock is correctly moved between the main storage (WMS) and the kit production area (outside of WMS).
  • Returns Management
    • Work with Kit Production Manager and Brand Supply Chains to ensure returns flows are clearly defined and executed in a timely manner.
    • Challenge the physical space of returns storage to ensure there’s a consistent in-and-out flow.
    • Maintain inventory accuracy throughout the process. 
  • Master Data Management
    • Ensure processes are in place to record all master data at time of reception.
  • KPI and Reporting
    • Work with the Engineering Team to develop reports related to inventory movements and/or create your own based on business needs.
    • Develop a cadence of sending out reports to the brands and maintain a review of the reports on an agreed upon basis.
    • Ensure cycle count reports are developed and reviewed weekly.
  • Quality Assurance
    • Communicate quality control information to all relevant organizational departments and/or outside vendors.
  • New Brands Onboarding
    • As new brands are joining the operation, create an onboarding plan to integrate them into current operations.
    • Understand the business requirements and propose actions plans to meet them.
    • Ensure communication of the onboarding is clear to all management.
  • Physical Layout Ownership
    • Lead the process of determining the physical layout for the department.
    • Ensure the layout meets current and proposed future business needs.
    • Work with management team to ensure space requirements align with other flows of the warehouse.
  • Provide support to the DC Operation when necessary.
  • Any other responsibility can be added to this role as per management discretion.

REQUIREMENTS:EDUCATION:Bachelor’s DegreeEXPERIENCE:
    • 10 years’ experience working in Logistics Fulfillment Operations with Inventory Management responsibility
SKILLS:
    • Microsoft Suite – Advanced Proficiency
    • Language: English. Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
    • Able to multi-task on many high-level topics at once.

PHYSICAL & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
    • Offer flexibility to work or answering communications in extended hours, weekends or night shift based on business needs.
    • Weekend or holiday hours can be added at discretion of Management.
    • Able to work in a fast paced and under time pressure environment.
    • Warehouse environment with seasonal temperature variations.
    • Physical activity includes regular standing, pushing carts, reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, and climbing stairs and ladders.
    • Extensive walking or standing up the whole shift.
    • Extensive sitting in front of a computer for long periods of time.
    • Ability to lift and/or maneuver up to 50 lbs.
    • Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.
    • Manual Dexterity — The ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, assemble, or wrap objects.
    • L’Occitane Distribution Center Management could request 24 hours in advance an early start or late closing based on workload
