What we are Looking for
The Human Resource Representative will assist the Human Resource Manager with complex and specialized administrative tasks while leading recruiting efforts across all locations. This person will also be responsible for the onboarding process of new employees, helping ensure the start of their career at L&M is a great one!
Primary Responsibilities

• Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
• Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
• Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
• May act as a payroll back up to the HR Manager
• Conducts new hire Orientation
• Works closely with hiring Managers to help develop a company-wide, and department specific onboarding procedures.
• Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, and holiday parties
• Maintains accurate records of active job openings and received applications; manages internal and external job postings
• Reviews applications for entry-level and non-exempt positions; conducts preliminary interviews.
• Will act as the primary contact for candidates and new hires
• Assists with the administration of employee benefits, which may include collecting and submitting employee information and notice of change in status to health, dental, life, disability, and other insurance carriers or insurance brokers.
• Will be responsible for company social media

Education, Experience, and Attributes

• Great initiative to step up and lead HR projects/initiatives
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy
• Organizational skills with a high attention to detail.
• Degree in Human Resources or prior experience in the HR field
• Experience with Microsoft office, applicant tracking systems, and payroll systems a plus
