We at L&L Hawaiian Barbecue are looking for a friendly and motivated Cook to join our team and prepare authentic Hawaiian dishes. The Cook will be responsible for preparing and cooking food according to recipes and standards of quality. He/she is also expected to accurately plate orders in a timely manner, as well as assist with kitchen maintenance and cleaning duties.
Responsibilities:
Preparing meals according to recipes and established standards of quality
Ensuring timely and accurate service of meals
Preparing ingredients prior to cooking, such as washing, peeling, cutting and seeding vegetables
Operate standard kitchen equipment such as grills, ovens, and blenders
Assemble food orders in accordance with recipes and standards
Practice appropriate food storage and rotation techniques
Cleaning and sanitizing all food preparation areas
Other duties as required
Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to work in a high-stress environment
Basic knowledge of food and nutrition
Strong knowledge of sanitation and food safety regulations
Previous cooking experience an asset
Team player, with the ability to work in a team-oriented kitchen setting
Good organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task
