One of our reputable clients located in East Downtown Houston specializes in providing national pharmaceutical services and is seeking a Pharmacy Tech. Currently, we are seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician to join their team and contribute to their commitment to excellence.

Position Overview: As a Certified Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of their pharmacy. Your responsibilities will include answering phone calls, processing customer orders, dispensing prescriptions, and maintaining accurate prescription databases. We offer comprehensive on-the-job training for our in-house prescription software and provide a supportive work environment where you can thrive and grow.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Answer incoming phone calls with professionalism and positivity.
• Utilize in-house prescription software to create customer orders.
• Dispense prescriptions accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain prescription databases with up-to-date information.
• Resolve inquiries regarding prescriptions and refills.
• Verify clients' shipping and billing information for accuracy.
• Respond to emails and process web-based orders promptly.
• Adhere to company procedures and regulations set by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Certification as a Pharmacy Technician is mandatory.
• Registration and licensure with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy are required (please include your registration number with your application).
• Excellent attendance record and reliable transportation.
• High level of customer service skills with a customer-focused approach.
• Strong communication skills, including active listening, clear speaking, and proper phone etiquette.
• Accurate data entry skills and fast typing ability.
• Adaptability to different personality types and situations.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and effectively manage time.
• Familiarity with the Windows operating system.
• Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Shift Hours: Shift hours could start at either 8am or 9am and would be for 8 hours, with a 1-hour lunch break.
