Description

The Warehouse Supervisor works closely with the location’s management and warehouse Assistant Manager. This position carries out responsibilities in shipping, inventory, delivery.

The goal in this position is to efficiently ensure a safe work environment.

This class works under limited supervision to set procedures on how and when to complete tasks.

Duties and Responsibilities

The functions listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this position. Management may assign additional functions related to the type of work of the position as necessary.

• Warehouse Supervisor the daily flow of the warehouse, schedules, and organizes staff to ensure proper staffing of all shifts.
• Uses the loading reports, ensure proper number of products is loaded onto all the trailers.
• Ensures all loaded trailers be locked inside and the warehouse prior to departure.
• Inspect the warehouse and keep the warehouse clean and safe.
• Warehouse Supervisor views all inventories through the management of Warehouse Assistant Manager by receiving purchases from suppliers, storing the products, filling orders to customers, and billing the merchandise
• Investigate damaged products returning on the tractor / trailers or arriving OTR
• Helps ensure safety and recommend maintenance improvements in the warehouse by conducting safety training, accident investigations, and equipment and facility inspections
• Ensure all warehouse personnel follow safety procedures while performing assigned duties.
• Perform other duties as assigned and assist in other areas as needed.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

• High School Diploma and 3 years of experience or related field. Warehouse experience, supervisory experience with a high volume fast based distribution preferred.
• Flexibility to work outside of normal shift hours to accommodate various employee schedules.

Required Knowledge and Abilities

• Ability to train employees on powered industrial equipment.
• Ability to demonstrate basic product scanner proficiency effectively with minimal errors.
• Strong team player and the ability to get along with co-workers.
• Good verbal / written communication skills, basic math skills, and ability to read documents in English, such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.

Physical Demands Performs sedentary work that involves walking or standing some of the time and involves exerting up to 50 pounds of force on a regular and recurring basis or sustained keyboard operations.

Unavoidable Hazards (Work Environment) Involves routine and frequent exposure to :

Bright / dim light; Dusts and pollen. Extreme heat and / or cold; Wet or humid conditions. Extreme noise levels Vibration;

Fumes and / or noxious odors. Traffic Heights. Other extreme hazards not listed above.

Special Certifications and Licenses

• Must possess and maintain a valid state Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
• Must be able to pass criminal background and drug screen.
