Responsibilities :

• Preparing proteins, seafood items, and relevant recipes related to protein preparation
• Proper and hygienic fabrication of proteins and seafood
• Appropriate storage and care of all proteins and seafood
• Follow instructions provided by the Chef Team
• Ensure that food preparation and storage areas meet health and safety standards
• Maintain inventory of all proteins in-house and supplies
• Collaborate with the kitchen staff to properly prepare protein and menu items
• Assisting prep and line cooks in service as needed
• Producing menu items in cooperation with the kitchen team
• Keeping station clean, organized, and efficient
• Rotating inventory correctly
• Ensuring that all nutrition and sanitation standards are followed
• Monitoring and reporting inventory needs to the Sous Chef

Skills and Qualifications :

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification
• Certificate in Culinary Arts or related experience
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
• In-depth knowledge of restaurant practices and cooking methods
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Strong multitasking abilities
• Ability to work cooperatively and efficiently as part of a team
• Extensive experience working in busy restaurant environments
• 3 to 5 years of experience in a cook position
• Fine Dining experience preferred
• Attention to detail
• Motivated and self-directed
• Pride in service and a constant desire to grow within the craft
• Excellent time management
• A proactive and positive attitude

Schedule :

• 8-hour shifts
• Day shifts
• Evening shifts
• Weekend availability

Physical Aspects of the Butcher Role :

• Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
