Kysor Warren EPTA US Corporation is Hiring a Supervisor Production - 3rd Shift Near Columbus, GA

Description

RESULTS POSITION ACCOUNTABLE FOR: Supervision of a manufacturing area where the nature of work done requires knowledge of a trade such as: fabrication, assembly, distribution, welding, brazing, sheet metal, paint finish processing, refrigeration, control systems, etc. Achievement will be measured by safety, quality, timeliness, productivity, attendance and teamwork.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervises day to day operations, personnel actions, within a facility to achieve higher output;
  • Supervises the manufacturing or distribution of products to established quality standards utilizing defined methods, procedures and equipment;
  • Organizing, monitoring, and prioritizing tasks to meet production goals;
  • Monitors and inspects equipment to ensure that proper maintenance is requested and performed;
  • Ensuring compliance with safety and professional standards within a facility;
  • Evaluating various stations of the production operation to ensure optimum efficiency;
  • Maintaining communication between employees and senior executives to ensure procedures and policies are well-understood;
  • Ensuring the flow of raw materials and other resources;
  • Assist in the recruitment and onboarding of new hires, trains and supervises employees; 
  • Conducts performance reviews as scheduled. Coach, counsel and discipline employees; answering inquiries, planning, monitoring and appraising job performance results;
  • Counsels employees on how to achieve an optimal output or workflow;
  • Prepares reports such as: daily time sheets, production summaries, overtime and downtime reports.
  • Collect, analyze and summarize information, maintains the log of shift operations, and implements corrective action where necessary;
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops, reviewing publications, visiting other manufacturing facilities and participating in professional societies;
  • Contributes to team effort by achieving results that are linked to company goals and objectives;
  • Resolves issues and disputes between manufacturing employees;
  • Performs direct labor work from time to time to “flex to where the work is” and to break bottlenecks;
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED) and 5 year’s of supervisory experience;
  • Post-secondary education, preferably in Engineering, Manufacturing or similar field; Preferred
  • Relevant training and certification in industrial production, engineering, or any related field; Preferred
  • Related experience in materials, manufacturing or assembly;
  • Knowledge of manufacturing tools and equipment;
  • Knowledge of and ability to institute and maintain contemporary manufacturing/distribution processes and techniques;
  • Must display sound judgment and appropriate team leadership skills;
  • Knowledge of process improvement tools (Lean, Six Sigma); Preferred
  • SAP Knowledge, IT skills, especially using data analysis software;
  • Excellent organization, communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills;
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, and a strong work ethic;
  • Ability to create and adhere to production processes;
  • Ability to write reports legibly and accurately.
