Qualifications

Specific Responsibilities

• Perform daily duties related to reactor operation including preparing wafers and hardware, loading and running MOCVD reactors.

• Perform daily wafer characterization and/or inspection duties, for example optical microscope inspections, photoluminescence

• Work with and handle very small wafers with tweezers as part of the reactor loading process.

• Perform MOCVD facilities procedures including handling of gas cylinders.

• Assist with wafer inventory and organization

• Use of MES system to track wafer activity

• All duties are conducted in a cleanroom with appropriate gowning

• Duties carried out in this position are expected to support ISO 9001 / IATF quality requirements

• This position is for an 8 hour day shift, including a weekend day in support of 24/7 operations

• Attendance and punctuality are essential for success in this position

Experience and Skills

• High School degree is required; Associate degree preferred in related fields (electrical engineering, materials science) or equivalent knowledge/experience in this field

• 5 years experience working in a semiconductor cleanroom environment as part of a technician team

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to communicate effectively with both engineers and operators/technicians

• Proficiency with Microsoft office software

• Mechanical/Electrical aptitude would be a plus

• Ability to work in cleanroom environment including detailed wafer handling/tweezer use on daily basis

• Ability to read, comprehend and follow standard operating procedures and safety procedures

• High attention to detail and understanding of the importance of product quality

• Organized, dependable and able to work independently and manage time and attendance

• Able to take work direction from others

• Ability to multi-task and prioritize daily tasks; flexibility to work on varied tasks

• Must be able to work non-standard shift including a weekend day in support of 24x7 manufacturing

• Effort level, a good attitude and a willingness to learn are all extremely important

The full-time base salary range for the Sr Epitaxy Technician position is $31.00 to $36.00 per hour. The range reflects the minimum and maximum possible base salary for new hires for the role, based on the advertised location. Individual pay is determined by several factors including work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and training.
