As a Technical Training Manager, you will work directly with the Headquarters, Regional Sales and Customer Service Operations to provide support to the Dealers and Regional Technical Representatives by creating content and providing online, video, audio, and instructor-led training.

Responsibilities

Responsible for planning, implementing, controlling, and evaluating the objectives and operations of the National Training Center within the policies and guidelines set forth by KDA Headquarters.

Supervise all aspects of developing and deploying technical eLearning courses and use of the Media Room.

Oversee and participate in the design and development of eLearning courses to meet training needs.

Manage National Training Center Staff by setting goals and monitoring performance while maintaining morale.

Oversee inventory and condition of all Training Center equipment.

Make recommendations for upgrading equipment.

Responsible for evaluating and recommending personnel changes.

Lead the Training Center team to develop classroom training material, web-based training, technical training material for on-site dealer training, and short form video training to be used on Kyocera.com and YouTube.

Manage the deployment of eLearning courses in the Web Server and/or other media formats.

Set-up and maintain association with reliable vendors to ensure quality, timeliness, and cost effectiveness.

Initiate general proposals and/or purchase orders for acquiring equipment or supplies.

Qualifications

Required:

High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.

Experience in developing technical course content both for novices and experts with technology.

5-7 years of relevant experience required.

Highly computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and Excel.

Experience in general knowledge of Video & Graphic Production.

Experience in development of eLearning material.

Knowledge of web-based learning platforms, such as Lectora, and modern educational techniques.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical terms using simple language.

Prior supervisory experience required.

Preferred:

Bachelor’s Degree in training and development, information technology, business, or other relevant fields.

Additional certification in training (e.g. Certified Technical Trainer) is a plus

Experience in general knowledge and use of the Oracle database management system.
