Full Job Description: The Quality Assurance Lead Engineer own the testing process for the development team. If you possess the drive to excel in a dynamic environment and have the skills to enhance our testing processes, we invite you to join our team as a QA Engineer! This individual will be responsible for testing a web-based Angular application backed by WebSockets, REST, and Postgresql with expertise in the following:
Self-starter requiring minimal supervision
Intelligent, proactive and driven to achieve results
Extensive experience in creating/writing test-related deliverables such as: test plans, test reports, test procedures, software defect reports, etc. in support of the customer
Experience/knowledge with or interest in developing skills in the following areas:
Experience with automated testing frameworks
Working within an Agile Development/DevOps environment (Docker/Microservices/Containerized Development, GIT/GITLAB, etc.)
TS/SCI or the ability to obtain this level of clearance is highly desired
RESPONSIBILITIES: The selected candidate will be responsible for:
Managing the testing process for the Kudu test team, ensuring comprehensive coverage and timely execution
Contribute to shaping the release and testing processes, striving for efficiency and effectiveness
Helping to improve and shape software version releases and testing processes
Tracking and triaging bugs per software release, coordinating with development teams to schedule applicable fixes and ensure timely resolution
Evaluating product and process usability
Verifying that all project requirements are met
Assisting in the improvement of Kudu’s automated testing framework, leveraging tools such as Cucumber/Gherkin, Selenium, Cypress, Python, and Bash scripting
Possess experience with automated testing frameworks
Maintaining a robust test framework for documenting release results, providing clear visibility into software quality
Independently conduct load balance testing with hundreds of users, adapting strategies as needed to simulate real-world scenarios
Taking the initiative to work/collaborate closely with the Scrum Master and development team, modifying test plans to align with frequent software releases
Playing a role in shaping documentation and user guides, ensuring they accurately reflect software functionality and usefulness for end-users
Demonstrate an understanding of industry standard best practices for testing and software releases
QUALIFICATIONS:
BS/MS (BA/MA) in a technical degree field, plus a minimum of 8 years directly related experience (3 years with MS degree). In lieu of a degree, 15 years of directly related experience
