KSI Metals is seeking an Assistant Manager in Albuquerque, NM . The Assistant Manager must be thoroughly familiar with all aspects of the company to include: Operations, Sales (estimating & business development), Quality Assurance, Safety, and Customer Service. This individual will ensure quality, profitability, and growth in all areas of the company. The role will require effective cross-functional and collaborative teamwork to achieve business results.

Responsibilities:

• Seek out opportunities for expansion and growth by developing new business relationships
• Ensuring quality of workmanship from employees
• Maintain project timelines to ensure tasks are accomplished effectively
• Communicating effectively in writing and verbally with all customers and employees.
• Maintain accurate records, management reports, expense reimbursement forms, and other documentation
• Ensure that all staff are meeting the execution of daily tasks and operational goals
• Always maintain professionalism, diplomacy, and sensitivity to portray the company in a positive manner.
• Assist General Manager in day-to-day operations and become second in charge when GM is out of office
• Assist sales department with day-to-day sales and marketing – assist regular customer base as needed
• Become a trusted source of product knowledge for employee and customer base
• Learn and understand company software systems and become a trusted source of knowledge
• Learn ordering system, create PO’s, receive PO’s, and be able to reconcile differences
• Gain an understanding and be able to perform shipping and receiving tasks as needed
• Gain an overall understanding of all business processes and be able to teach and explain to employees
• Any other tasks as designated by GM and/or Upper Management

Preferred skills and qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field (Preferred)
• 5 years’ experience in a leadership role (Preferred)
• 3 years’ experience in construction industry

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
