Contract Specialist

LOCATION - 2 Montgomery Street, Jersey City, NJ 07302

The services of the Consultant shall generally consist of preparing clearly written, fully coordinated and complete Contract books (project manuals) to be used to solicit bids on construction and maintenance contracts and performing related tasks.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Staff must have the ability to pass a Secure Worker Access Consortium (SWAC) personnel background screening at a High Level and ability to comply with Authority policies on information security.
  • Staff must hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Architecture or a related technical degree, from an accredited college or university.
  • Staff must have five (5) years’ minimum experience in the development, preparation, review, and delivery of contract documents for multidisciplinary Architecture/Engineering construction projects, including administrative contract provisions (‘front end’ or general contract requirements) and technical contract provisions (technical specifications).
  • Staff must have demonstrated ability to meet schedules and budgets for project deliverables.
  • Staff must have demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office suite at a basic or better proficiency, and ability to, without difficulty, learn and use required computer software, such as BlueBeam Revu for commenting and custom SharePoint applications.
  • Staff must have strong interpersonal, written, oral and collaboration skills, including demonstrated experience interacting successfully with project stakeholders, resolving issues, with ability to give and to follow clear direction, and must have proficient technical writing skills

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $57,192.64 - $68,877.15 per year
