Preferred Experience:

•Master’s Degree

  • Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel
  • Proficiency with case management systems
  • Applicants must have one (1) year of specialized experience. In their position, they were required to interpret evidence (medical, benefit and/or legal documentation) to assist in preparation of legal cases, to determine eligibility of benefits/services or to assist in performing clinical research, clinical or physiological studies, evaluations, or medical treatment.

Examples of experience would typically include, but are not limited to:

1. Determining the eligibility for federal or state-administered benefits, such as: disability, education, housing, medical and/or veterans' benefits;

2. Applying federal and state laws to process claims pertaining to a service, disability or benefit program.

3. Gathering and requesting evidence to build case files, and identify errors, inconsistencies or omissions;

4. Explaining decisions to claimants, customers, special interest groups, dependents and/or representatives in an effort to gain understanding of determinations.

  • 1 years work in case management/paralegal in the legal fields of medical malpractice, personal injury, veterans’ disability, or similar

Hours & Pay Schedule

This is a full-time position with a flexible schedule. Daytime hours are required Monday through Friday CST, but some work can be completed outside business hours. Final schedule and pay determined on an individual basis.
