Kratos Space Training & Cyber is Hiring a NOC Shift Supervisor Near Colorado, CO

Kratos is seeking a NOC Shift Supervisor to excel at the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Perform daily supervision of assigned personnel and shift operations in the NOC to ensure that all performance and contractual requirements are being met.
  • Ensure the effectiveness of the NOC shift changes to include structure, information exchange, and timely attendance of all NOC personnel per published guidance.
  • Collaborate with the NOC Training Supervisor and NOC Manager to review the training of assigned NOC personnel and address issues with employee competency and training programs.
  • Support the NOC Manager in developing new hires into more senior technical and leadership roles through training and mentorship.
  • Author employee reviews, awards, and disciplinary memorandums. Support the NOC Manager and HR in executing performance improvement plans and other disciplinary actions.
  • Review existing NOC procedures to ensure effectiveness and relevance. Collaborate with the NOC Training Supervisor and NOC Manager on implementing revisions and improvements.
  • Support operations by handling elevated customer issues and, when needed, refer these issues to the NOC Manager or other teams. This may require taking calls for elevated issues during off-hours.
  • Support the NOC Manager in composing the shift schedule. Ensure all assigned personnel abide by the shift schedule to ensure appropriate 24x7 NOC staffing. Manage call-offs and other shift coverage plans for assigned personnel.
  • Provide guidance to assigned personnel for charging time to specified project codes. Monitor time charging for accuracy and timeliness and review and approve timesheets per corporate guidelines.
  • Support the NOC Manager with interviews, onboarding, and, when necessary, termination of personnel.
  • Support the NOC Manager and other NOC Shift Supervisors in implementing NOC-wide changes and enforcing NOC policies and procedures.
  • Train assigned personnel to utilize system measurement data, system faults, good judgment, and practical experience with SATCOM issues to diagnose customer problems.
  • Ensure assigned personnel exercise discretion by following non-disclosure agreements and operational guidelines when elevating sensitive customer issues to third parties.
  • Up to 10 percent travel is required.
  • Perform other functions as directed by the NOC Manager.

Required Experience:
  • Minimum five years of related experience in military or commercial SATCOM Network Operations Centers
  • Minimum one year of work experience in the Kratos Spectral Services NOC
  • Previous experience training and mentoring subordinate or peer personnel
  • Established proficiency in all NOC subsystems
  • Demonstrated strong leadership, communication (verbal and written), training/mentoring, interpersonal skills, and computer-based application skills
  • Proven operations expertise in commercial and military satellite RF signals monitoring, signal analysis, and geolocation
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the technical characteristics of commercial and military satellites, including frequency plans, payload configurations, antenna coverage patterns, and transponder interconnectivity and characteristics

Education Requirements: Associate degree in Electronics/Information Technology (IT) or equivalent military or civilian technical school training.

Security Clearance: U.S. Citizenship and a minimum of a current DOD SECRET (S) on the day of hire with the ability to maintain active clearance throughout employment. TOP SECRET / SCI level clearance is desirable.

Salary Range: $105,000-$115,000
