** California Veg Seed Sales and Location Manager - Seedway, LLC - Bakersfield, CA**

We offer a leading line of vegetable seed for growers in the United States and Eastern Canada.

**PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT**

Manage sales in western regions. Deploy and manage sales personnel. Identify strategies and action plan to improve sales and earnings.

**SUPERVISION AND LEADERSHIP**

Supervise, lead and develop Sales Representatives in western regions.

**ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS**

Oversee pricing strategies for situational pricing; develop price quotes and special price lists

Participate in the development and planning of sales and product strategies to include forecasting, product development and introduction.

Plan and execute sales meetings

Develop and implement sales tools for Sales Representatives

Provide direction for marketing and advertising strategies and programs

Identify and pursue opportunities for growth

Monitor and assist collection of past due receivables

Manage and monitor sales and selling expenses to meet budget goals

Oversee the Bakersfield location office and warehouse operation

**OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS**

Follows GROWMARKs Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.

Performs all other duties as assigned.

**REQUIREMENTS**

Normally requires a college degree in agriculture, marketing or other business related discipline, and at least 5 years of sales/marketing/management experience, or the equivalent thereof, to demonstrate leadership with the ability to generate profitable sales

Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.

Must have and maintain a valid drivers license and satisfactory driving record.

Must be able to travel independently and overnight as needed.

Must be able to work extended hours beyond those considered normal to meet seasonal demands.

Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARKs policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
