KPRS Construction Services Inc. is Hiring a Senior Estimator (Multi-Family) Near Brea, CA

A Senior Estimator is responsible for evaluating and determining the approximate costs of construction and developing an Opinion of Probable Cost (estimate). The primary goal is to provide thorough and competitive estimates with a high probability of award. Requires extensive experience to price significant and prominent projects within the industry. Requires a deep understanding of construction trades, product types, building techniques, materials, labor costs, and industry standards with a focus on multi-family projects. ResponsibilitiesReviewing project specifications and drawings to determine the scope of work. Analyzing project proposals to determine costs and prepare detailed estimates. Communicating with project team to clarify project details. Identifying potential cost-saving measures and proposing alternatives to clients. Attending pre-bid meetings and site visits. Collaborating with other departments and providing occasional support to project managers during the construction phase. Able to oversee multiple bids and conceptual estimates.SkillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and organizational skills with the capacity to work well under pressure. Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and techniques. Proficient in construction estimating software and tools, reviewing and interpreting construction documents, reading and writing of technical specifications; on screen take-off software, Bluebeam, Excel, Word, Outlook, Zoom, and AutoCad plan viewing.Attributes
Logical, objective, inquisitive, punctual, perceptive, accomplished, resourceful, persistent, dedicated, pragmatic, articulate, seasoned, reliable, and intuitive.ExperienceBackground of 8 years in construction or a related field, and/or a bachelor's or master's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related discipline. Professional certifications in construction estimating or project management are a plus. Extensive knowledge of multiple product types and trades, with a heavy emphasis in multi-family.Physical Requirements
  • Extended desk and computer work
  • Inspect job sites: walk .5 to 1 mile and climb stairs
  • Lift up to 15 pounds at times
