About being our CAD Designer

KPG Psomas is seeking a mid-level CAD Designer to join our team in either Seattle, Tacoma, or Wenatchee. In this hybrid role, our CAD Designer will work both independently and on a team. Our ideal candidate will bring their collaboration and communication skills, along with their high-quality drafting practices, to efficiently assist with project work and support the team. The focus in this position will be roadway design, utilities, drainage, and survey mapping and involve working with a variety of design software.

Responsibility Highlights for our CAD Designer

• Drafting to complete assigned tasks including general drawing production setup, address markups, plotting, 2D and 3D model development, completing design changes, and drafting using CAD platforms.
• Work closely with design engineers and project managers on assigned projects.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute work in a safe, timely, cost-effective, and compliant manner.
• Complete drawing/project responsibilities within scope, budget, and schedule; review drawings for completeness and accuracy.
• Work as a team player and under minimal supervision; resolve issues based on project/company standards

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications to be our CAD Designer

• 5 Years of Experience with Civil 3D, Autodesk Design Suites and Microsoft Suites

Preferred Qualifications for our CAD Designer

• Experience with Engineering/Landscape Architecture/Construction Industry
• Associates Degree in CADD/Engineering related field
• Advanced knowledge of Civil 3D or Civil 3D Certification
• Experience with AutoTURN
