AV- Design Engineer AutoCAD 

Agility AVL is a dynamic and expanding organization that Designs and installs audio and video in commercial settings.
This position is ultimately responsible for a variety of project design engineering and estimating duties related to Audio, Video and Lighting.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSBILITIES:

• Create detailed system designs to include audio, visual displays, and control systems, etc.

• Develop pre-sale electronic design drawings based upon system requirements as a tool for accurate quote creation, visual representation, and Design Engineering baseline.

• Attends scheduled customer consult meetings with Sales Representatives. Advises customer of design ideas, receives feedback on customer needs, and gathers information for design phase of process. Prepares custom proposals, and scope of work documentation.
Engineering

• Interface with Tierney CRM software and cloud based storage systems.

• Communicates with vendors on product information, pricing, and timelines as needed.

• Completes bid work to include attending bid planning meetings to identify customer needs, budget requirements, design, and bid submittal.

• Estimates Installation, Programming, and Configuration labor.
Technical Support

• Provides technical assistance to the system integration Sales Engineers, Design Engineers, Interior Designers, Coordinators, Project Managers, Installers, and Sales Representatives as needed on projects. Answers questions and educates customers and staff on audio/visual systems. Develops and conducts training for staff on technical processes.

• - Development of Jetbuilt database and assist in recognizing and developing necessary engineering standards. Act as the Jetbuilt estimator / designer and engineering liaison to sales and install to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of installed projects. Provide expertise to central rack building department through advisement in the development of processes, suppliers and rack building standards. Act as the liaison between the rack building team and engineering.
