This position is responsible for all client services such as patient’s inquiry and specific attorney, insurance, doctor inquiries; receiving and processing patient’s payments via credit card. This position covers the front reception area, main telephone line, scanning and processing specific insurance request and/or distribute correspondence to the appropriate Dept.; receive, log and follow up with patient concerns such as billing inquiries; manage correspondence received via lockbox, physical address, faxes, intercompany; manage Department’s office supply inventory; scanning of daily cash and reconciliation document to day folder. This position must have the ability to verify insurance coverage, able to update/select insurance carrier and demand a bill as soon as received from patient/guarantor.

AGE SPECIFIC: Patient care employees must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to patients of all age groups–must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development through the life span, possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s status, and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient’s needs in relation to age and to provide the care needed as described in the department’s policies and procedures.
