The Role:

Plan, design, build, and operate computer network hardware, software, and servers

Decide which types of hardware are needed to support networks

Design layouts for data communication networks

Determine security requirements for networks

Implement network protections based on guidance from Security group

Perform Database maintenance on applications, e.g., Multi-INT Analysis and Archive System (MAAS)

Be familiar with the imagery exploitation life-cycle, and various imagery systems

Have experience in Network and System Engineering as well as Network hardware Engineering, e.g.,:

Routers, switches troubleshooting and configuration

Managing end of life hardware and software that makes up the network(s)

Cisco experience (router upgrades, IOS Software, Nexus switches, NX-OS

EIGRP (Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol) troubleshooting

VRF (virtual routing and forwarding) troubleshooting

Firewall management/troubleshooting (updating rules, writing access lists, VPNs, Cisco Firepower, Cisco ASDM, Palo Alto’s Next Generation Firewall, Juniper Networks CTP platforms), etc.

Have experience with Microsoft Engineering

Support the following OS and software: MS Windows 10, Windows Server 2019, Active Directory, MAAS, MS Office Suites, VMWare, vSphere, VCenter 7

Report information through weekly site communications group meetings, weekly status reports, and monthly logs to team members and management

Be familiar with SPLUNK 

Be familiar with PKI

Be familiar with SQL Database

Be familiar with SCCM

Attention to detail and highly organized

Ability to work in teams

Familiarity with field-specific software, e.g., system administration, network monitoring, network security and configuration management software

Ability to use related tools, e.g., network analyzers and network switches and routers

Requirements

A Bachelor’s of Science or Technology degree, a related specialized area or field (or equivalent experience) plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience

Subject matter expert (SME) in one discipline/field and developing working knowledge in adjacent disciplines/fields

Proficient understanding and application of engineering principles, concepts, practices, and standards

Strong desire to learn new technology and skills

Certifications are always a plus but not required, e.g., JNCP track (Juniper), CCNA (Cisco), etc.

Well-informed of current and future network technologies

Problem-solver, well-versed in troubleshooting

Strong experience with logging/monitoring tools, e.g., SolarWinds, ELK Stack (Elastic Search, Logstash, Kibana)

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:

Department of Defense TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
