Assistant Project Manager (Residential Construction)

Position Summary:

KP Contracting, LLC is looking for an Assistant Project Manager who is fueled by ambition and wants to be part of a work environment that is built on dedication to success. We need someone who shares the drive to take this rapidly growing company to the next level. As our project manager, you'll play a crucial role in delivering results while upholding and enhancing our positive workplace. You'll work with a team of talented individuals who are all committed to excellence and driven to massive success.

The project manager will be responsible for coordinating multiple crews that build luxury outdoor living projects such as decks, paver patios, hardscapes, outdoor kitchens, plunge pools, water features, and other landscaping features in Charles, North St. Marys, and PG Counties. This entails ensuring that the correct materials are on hand for each crew, scheduling the work, coordinating crew assignments, quality control, coordinating all efforts with the customer, and ensuring that each project is completed on time and within budget.

The successful candidate will be able to manage multiple crews simultaneously, effectively communicate with clients, and reliably complete projects to the company's high standards.

This position offers a competitive salary range of $45,000 to $60,000, depending on experience and ability to hit and exceed performance targets. Objectives:

  • Coordinate, manage, and lead multiple crews at multiple work locations
  • Schedule and manage projects from start to finish, ensuring that each one is completed on time and budget
  • Maintain and cultivate great relationships with clients, ensuring they are informed and satisfied throughout the process
  • Ensure that all projects meet high-quality standards
  • Work with the company owner to develop and execute new strategies
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing team to generate new business
  • Ensure all work sites are neat and orderly and that homes are respected.

Competencies:

  • Deep understanding of construction practices and techniques
  • Proven ability to lead teams to success and oversee complex projects
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and leadership abilities
  • Ability to work well under pressure and to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with project management software and platforms

Education & Experience:

  • High School diploma required
  • Two (2) or more years in project management, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Experience in the landscape and hardscape industry is a plus

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to spend prolonged periods standing, sitting, or walking
  • Ability to spend prolonged periods using and interacting with a computer
  • Must be able to lift at least 25lbs
