Position: Site Safety Manager
Location: De Soto, Kansas
Reports to: Director of Safety and Quality
Summary: The Site Safety Manager is responsible for managing safety and risk on a large project in De Soto, Kansas. This position plans, directs, and implements the company’s and job site safety program to foster a safe, healthy, and accident-free work environment. The Site Safety Manager collaborates directly with general contractors, field staff, and the Director of Safety and Quality to create a safe working environment for all contractors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Injury, Accident, Near Miss Reporting: Complete thorough injury, incident, accident and near miss reports. Investigate accidents to identify causes or to determine how such accidents might be prevented in the future.
Skills and Qualifications:
· Minimum 5 years’ experience in construction safety.
· Holds a certification through the Board of Certified Safety Professional. i.e. CSP, ASP, SMS, CHST, or STSC.
· OSHA 500 – Trainer
· Has extensive experience training employees in safety rules and regulations.
· Must be knowledgeable in all safety and health regulations for Federal and State approved plans (ADOSH, CAL OSHA, FED OSHA)
· Must be organized.
· Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
· Personal Qualities: Must be a great communicator, have the ability to work in a team environment, forward thinker, strong work ethic, and problem-solving skills.
