Job Type: Full Time Job description for Account Manager:

Our Insurance Agency is looking to add an individual experienced in servicing and marketing commercial property & casualty clients within a retail insurance brokerage environment. The candidate should have a demonstrated ability to work with team members in assembling, reviewing, modifying and disseminating documentation necessary for obtaining and evidencing commercial property & casualty insurance. Compensation D.O.E.

Position Overview: Team Member will provide exceptional client service to the book of business, maintain all documentation applicable to the new and renewal business transacted and process, timely and accurately, all coverage related request from or on behalf of clients. Individual will work with other team members and team leader to facilitate smooth servicing of all current and prospective client’s insurance programs and round-out accounts as opportunities arise.

Responsibilities of the Team Member (not all inclusive):

  • Knowledgeable on diverse range of insurance products in the Commercial Lines arena.
  • Service and maintain all aspects of a variety of commercial accounts (both individually and on a collaborative basis).
  • Work from both a typical and accelerated renewal timeline on existing business.
  • Work on short timelines in competition for prospective clients.
  • Gathering and analyzing underwriting information (update exposure and rating basis/complete renewal applications, review coverage needs, etc.).
  • Completion of Acord submissions and applications.
  • Completion of excel based Comparison Exhibits.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients.
  • Prepare request for premium invoices and premium financing.
  • Prepare, review and distribute Certificates of Insurance and Auto ID Cards.
  • Review contractual insurance requirements for Certificates of Insurance.
  • Examine and distribute endorsements.
  • Manage policy changes and documentation in Agency Management System.
  • Support Team leader in client retention and expansion of business.
  • Adopt team processes and procedures
  • Embrace all opportunities to learn form other team members and increase professional knowledge.

Qualifications for a position on a commercial lines property and casualty team:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Working Knowledge of Applied EPIC Agency Management System .
  • Understanding of the processes, procedures, workflows and timelines for new and renewal P&C business.
  • Functional understanding of property and casualty coverages.
  • Strong analytical and Critical thinking Skills.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills. Ability to prioritize.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Affable and gracious manner with clients and business partners.
  • Ability to work in Team setting. Interpersonal skills, including relationship-building skills with Clients, underwriters and Team Members.
  • Experience in a similar position at a retail brokerage or agency required.

Education Requirements:

  • College Degree or demonstrated equivalent work experience
  • Property & Casualty Insurance License
  • Insurance Designations preferred (ARM, CIC, CPCU, etc.)
  • Applied Epic courses
