POSITION TITLE: Crane Offer Engineer.
REPORTS TO: Manager, ETO Offer Engineering
JOB PURPOSE:
Provide sales with priced cost competitive technical solutions, dimensional proposal drawings and detailed technical information according to customer/sales specifications and Konecranes standard solutions. This equipment includes hoists (wire rope, standard and tailored-made process winches) cranes (under hung, top running, single girder, multiple-girder, gantry, jib, special), below the hook lifting devices, etc. Duties include project specification review, designing/selecting equipment, preparing cost estimates, technical information, and cost transmittal. Emphasis will be on electrical components including motors, brakes, controls, switches, PLC's, pendants, radio systems, weigh systems, camera systems, etc.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required.
EXPERIENCE: A minimum of 2-4 years of experience in mechanical, application or sales engineering in an industrial environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be a team player. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. Attention to detail is a must. Be creative and organized. Excellent problem-solving skills. Good specification and electrical/mechanical drawing reading skills. Well-developed PC skills and experience in mechanical drawings using CAD software is required. Must have good knowledge of mechanical engineering discipline. Electrical cost estimating, prior experience with cranes and components preferred.
