Konark Software is looking for a motivated professional skilled at presenting our company’s capabilities when responding to proposal requests. This person will be a key member of our business development team in reviewing and responding to business opportunities. The successful candidate will have a proven ability to develop winning proposals, create & follow style guidelines, meet deadlines and ability to articulate complex technical concepts in a clear and engaging manner. The position is located in Virginia Beach, VA.

Responsibilities

• Monitor upcoming business opportunities
• Develop a proposal development plan with a schedule and a compliance matrix
• Set and manage target dates to collect information from different sources including data calls to partners
• Review RFP/RFI/RFQ requirements and write compliant proposals in accordance with RFP requirements
• Collaborate with technical staff/SMEs and understand solutions approach related to the PWS.
• Prepare persuasive and compliant proposal responses outlining the core capabilities of our company in addressing the proposal requirements.
• Utilize excellent writing and presentation skills in preparing responses to RFI/RFP requirements that sets our company apart from the competition.
• Present our past performance citations highlighting skills and experiences of our company based on prior successful contract performance and how they relate to the current RFP.
• Maintain a repository of reusable templates with proposal content
• Establish style and format guidelines for proposal content
• Actively assist in preparing marketing collateral (capability statements, case studies, website content etc)
• Proofread and edit proposal sections for accuracy, style, and compliance.
• Participate in proposal reviews and win strategy meetings and provide feedback
• Assist in final proposal production and shipping all proposal documents to meet the submission deadline.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written skills
• At least 3 years of experience in proposal writing for information technology services especially for federal opportunities using
• Demonstrated experience in reviewing and responding to federal government proposals (RFI, RFP etc)
• Ability to present technical content in a compliant and easy to follow format
• Ability to plan and meet multiple quick turnaround deadlines
• Must be organized and detail-oriented in assembling the final proposal
• Ability to utilize graphics and content layout to effectively present complex technical topics.
• Ability to work well with others

Education

Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, or a related field is required.
