ROLE EXPECTATIONS: FoH Cashier
ACCOUNTABLE TO: Management
KNOWLEDGE: You will be expected to learn all aspects of FoH systems and processes, including full menu knowledge, how to operate the POS system, how to box and bag orders, and how to read receipts. Demonstrate Kolache Shoppe’s mission, vision, and philosophy.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
● Meet and greet guests as they enter the restaurant.
● Key in orders accurately into the POS system.
● Multitasking ability.
● Answer guest questions about menu items.
● Maintain a clean working area.
● Engage with guests to ensure they are happy with their order and service.
● Responding to complaints and helping to resolve them.
● Assist with fulfilling guest orders, box or bag orders for guests.
● Ensure stickers are placed on the box or bag to identify menu items.
● Warm orders when applicable.
● Follow health and safety guidelines.
● Communicate when a product in the display case is running low.
● Update TOAST and menus when an item is out of stock.
● Answer the phone when applicable.
● Knowledge of all payment options: gift cards, credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and cash.
FoH CASHIER REQUIREMENTS:
● Hospitality professional.
● Loves interacting with people.
● Ability to provide top-notch customer service in a fast-paced environment.
● A positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure with all restaurant staff.
● Support other restaurant staff members by assisting with other tasks, as needed.
● Ability to stand or walk for shifts up to 8 hours long.
● Ability to prioritize tasks in a busy setting.
● There is a significant amount of bending in this position.
● ServSafe or Food Handlers certification is required for this position.
UNIFORM CODE
● Shoes – Only shoes with non-slip soles, closed-toed that permit walking safely on wet or greasy floors. Shoes must be clean.
● Pants - Jeans, khakis, or black pants must be worn. NO SHORTS. They must be in good repair without holes.
● Shirts – Kolache Shoppe uniform T-shirts must always be worn. They should be kept in good condition, not soiled, stained, or wrinkled.
● Apron – A Kolache Shoppe branded apron must always be worn. Aprons will always be kept clean and in good condition and will not be wrinkled or unkempt.
● Appearance - Clean and well-groomed hair. Hair pulled back off the shoulder. Well-groomed hands and fingernails. Facial hair should be neat and well-trimmed.
● Accessories - No excessive cologne, perfume, make-up, or jewelry. No earrings longer than 1 inch.
● Hat- Kolache Shoppe hats must be worn at all times. One hat will be given to you upon employment.
