Metabo HPT is seeking an individual familiar with repairing and maintaining gas, electric, pneumatic tools, and compressors.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Observe mechanical devices in operation, view and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.
• Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
• Repair or replace defective parts. Install special functional and structural parts in devices. Lubricates and cleans parts.
• Start devices to test their performance.
• Set up and operate drill press, grinder, and other metal working tools to repair parts.
• Adjusts functional parts, tool and control instruments.
• Inspects used parts to determined changes in dimensional requirements.
• Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
• Assists with modification of tools when needed.
• Assist with parts inventory.
• Assist another department’s when needed.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

One year certificate from college or technical school; nine months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

• Ability to operate general office equip such as PC, fax machine calculator etc.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
