Koinonia is Hiring a Pre-Licensed Clinician (Part-Time) Near Temecula, CA

Koinonia Family Services is excited to announce an opportunity for a part-time pre-licensed clinician to serve clients in our mental health program in Temecula, CA, and possibly serve as a facilitator for our post-adoption wraparound program. This is a hybrid position, with in-person appointments and team meetings conducted at our Temecula office, and other time spent working remotely. Koinonia is one of California’s leading children’s services agencies. Responsibilities include preparing assessments, developing person-centered treatment plans for assigned individuals, providing therapy, and completing necessary Medi-Cal approval paperwork and other documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete the intake of referrals for mental health services
  • Complete assessments to inform a diagnosis
  • Develop person-centered treatment plans
  • Provide individual therapy in clients' homes or in-office depending upon clients’ needs
  • Evaluates clinical interventions to meet desired outcomes
  • Write notes and document client progress
  • Complete CANS assessments and maintain annual CANS certification
  • Complete necessary Medi-Cal approval paperwork and related documentation
  • Facilitate Child and Family Team meetings
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities
  • Assists with coordinating discharges and after-care efforts
  • Maintains intern registration and/or licensure status in good standing and participates in required supervision

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in social work (MSW)
  • 2 years of experience in a social service setting, working with children and families (preferred)
  • ACSW registration with at least 250 hours of practice, or LCSW registration (required)
  • Experience completing assessments and care plans
  • Skilled in therapeutic modalities, assessments, and treatment planning
  • Strong commitment to cultural competency and ethical practices
  • Passion for ongoing professional development
