Location: Hybrid (2-3 days on site) in Palo Alto, CA / NYC

Specific Responsibilities:

• Work directly with the Head of Software, software engineering team, and product teams.
• Design mobile architecture that can scale with the business growth of Kohler Ventures.
• Build the forward-looking vision and lead the effort to understand and drive requirements with hardware/software teams.
• Coordinate with product development teams to execute rollout/adoption of common libraries, services, and patterns.
• Measurably improve code normalization across one or more critical code concerns throughout the codebase.

Skills/Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a CS/engineering or related technical discipline from a reputed academic institution. Master's preferred.
• 7 years of professional software development experience.
• 5 years of experience in software design and development for iOS platform.
• Expert in SwiftUI 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong technical experience in some of the following areas: (1) Objective-C; (2) High-level understanding of cloud and mobile app technologies and associated communication protocols; (3) Pairing, configuring, and testing Bluetooth peripheral devices; (4) Automated Testing (Xctest, Nimble, OCMock, KIF, etc.)
• Experience working with HealthKit, ResearchKit on iOS preferred.
• Broad interest spanning from early prototyping to shipping finished features.
• Contributed significantly to growing and shaping backend systems, APIs and embedded systems.
• Experience in data science (including ML algorithm implementation).
• Champion for quality in code, processes, and culture.
• Strong ability to communicate complex technical and management information clearly and concisely. 
• Positive, can-do attitude with a high degree of ownership and self-motivation to drive change.
• Entrepreneurial experience in a high growth technology focused company or startup.
• Exemplary collaboration skills across teams, geographies, and functions.

The approved base salary range for this position is 98K-182K. The actual base salary offered to a candidate may be higher than the approved range. This will vary depending on a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. This position is eligible for a 16% Area Salary Differential (cost of living adjustment) for the metro NYC area. The approved base salary range including ASD for this position is $114K- 211K. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus and a special project incentive. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401k and pension!
