Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the effective onsite leadership of the Service Technician Assistants and Service Technician Apprentices, including overseeing performance management, career development, and mentoring, to instill the proper technical skills, including steady productivity, knowledge of roofing materials and applications, completion of paperwork, material requests, and all other service procedures and processes.
• Communicates with onsite direct reports on any changes or updates to company policies, processes or procedures, and trains and holds them accountable to ensure consistency.
• Holds onsite direct reports accountable for performance and quality, ensuring they meet the Company’s Core Values and performance standards.
• Communicates performance issues, concerns, and recognition of onsite direct reports to the Field Service Manager.
• Ensures all assignments are completed in the time requirements provided and communicates any exceptions to manager and customer as required.
• Follows all specifications and manufactures installation recommendations; completes jobs as efficient as possible (within budget) with the highest quality of craftsmanship.
• Ensures that all work performed complies with local building codes and regulations.
• Completes paperwork legibly and/or enters accurate information into all company systems per policy, including all inspection reports, Job Hazard Analysis, Site Specific Safety Checklists, etc. per job and Company requirements.
• Regularly completes truck inventory and notifies appropriate Kodiak personnel of missing and/or needed items.
• Communicates with clients each visit, ensuring their clear understanding of Kodiak’s processes, project timelines and updates, and any follow-up expectations.
• Updates the appropriate Kodiak personnel on project status, the work performed, project timelines, issues, and any follow-up expectations.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience (5 years) in commercial roofing installation, repair, and maintenance.
• Ability to read, communicate, and write in English.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and guide a team effectively.
• In-depth knowledge of various commercial roofing systems, materials, and techniques.
• Proficiency in diagnosing roofing issues and recommending appropriate solutions.
• Excellent understanding of safety protocols and regulations within the roofing industry.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with clients and team members.
• Ability to work at heights and in varying weather conditions.
• Valid driver's license and meet insurability expectations.
