Role Purpose

The HR Systems Analyst serves as a (SME) subject related to HR business processes, systems functionality, configuration, data management, and capabilities. This position plays a lead role in the implementation and support of systems initiatives, working with internal teams to gather, validate, and configure business requirements with recommended solutions.

Strategic Business Partnership

  • Effectively partners with teams such as HR, Recruiting, Benefits, Payroll, Finance, IT, and others to provide support for requests such as enhancements, defects, and new functionality.
  • Participates in the ongoing requirements gathering, design, build, test, and deployment of new functionality or modules. Understands the importance of change management to facilitate the transition to new technology and processes.

Technical Leadership

  • Maintains technical and industry trend knowledge by participating in Vendor Community and other forums, including on-line discussions, brainstorms, voting, training, webinars, etc.
  • Owns weekly and major bi-annual release management by conducting impact assessment, identifying potential business application, and presenting to business stakeholders to gather requirements of new functionality.
  • Performs research into problems, identifying opportunities to correct the situation, and seeks opinions and feedback on suggested solutions. Supports resolution to complex system problems, including unexpected results or process flows and implements the required configuration correction in a timely manner.
  • Review customer Alerts from vendor, and tests temporary solutions while issue resolution is being conducted by vendor. Update impacted populations, providing details to the issue, timeline of resolution, and instructions of business workaround until fix is implemented.
  • Configure and implement business process upgrades and enhancements, lead testing and data validation, and ensure that overall system performance is aligned with business objectives.
  • Addresses end-user support cases as assigned. Troubleshoots and resolves production support issues and resolves defects timely and with exceptional customer service.
  • Create and update documentation for system implementation, upgrades, and modifications.

Project Management

  • Effectively communicates status of ‘in progress’ and pending work items or projects assigned to stakeholders.
  • Lead projects as defined by leadership, which includes: develop project plan, engage stakeholders, lead meetings, provide regular project updates, configure and test requirements, and adhere to project deadlines.

Key Skills & Experiences

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or technical institute degree/certificate or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.

Experience

  • Required: Two to five years experience of HCM design and configuration experience.
  • Preferred: HR operations, application implementation and maintenance, global multi-divisional, multi-cultural organization.

Technical Skills and Knowledge

  • Significant experience within HR Core Systems applications and a proficient understanding of organizational business systems and processes
  • Ability to define, document, and update technical configuration of Oracle HCM functionality.
  • Configuration administration, application upgrades, and process management by defining, documenting, and enforcing system standards.
  • Ability to strategically demonstrate analytical and conceptual skills needed to develop efficient and effective solutions for a variety of sized, complex business problems.
  • Ability to demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills to provide and explain functional and technical information to business partners, vendors, and management.
  • Ability to collaborate with Business SMEs and Technical SMEs to deliver large cross functional complex projects and initiatives.

This role is hybrid and will be based in the Atlanta area.
