Koch Enterprises Family of Companies is Hiring a Quality Technician - Weekend Shift Near Springfield, MO

* This position works 5:00 am – 5:30 pm Friday, Saturday and Sunday. That is a 36 hours schedule with accommodation in pay to make it equivalent to 40 hour week *Summary The Quality Technician is an integral part of our Quality team. The Quality Technician must comply with all safety rules and procedures. This position is responsible for ensuring product quality, performing process audits, product inspections, and functional testing as required. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Inspects products for proper dimensions, and assembly according to customer specifications.Perform process audits.Perform problem solving analysis.Perform product layouts.Inspects welds for defects.Inspects material for visual defects.Perform in depth product testing.Develops product checks.Perform containment activities as necessary.Collect and interpret defect data from internal inspections and customer findings.Collect, issue, track, and maintain gages. Job Requirements, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Maintain a safe work environment.General knowledge of ASME code complianceMinimum of 1-year related experience and/or technical training or 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment.High School Diploma or GED preferred; relevant college level coursework or other technical training preferred.Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, shop floor documentation, customer specifications/diagrams, instructions provided by supervisors/managers.Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing.Ability to use precision measuring instruments, such as: calipers, micrometers, protractors; ability to read a tape measure.Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals in order to compute rate, ratios, and percentage.Ability to understand and follow operational procedures.Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot.Must have knowledge of and ability to use manufacturing software (i.e., Syteline). Personal Characteristics Shows concern for Safety.Shows concern for quality in their work.Practices continual improvement in their work.Strong organizational skills.Excellent attention to detail.Highest degree of honesty and integrity.Self-starter that is results, action oriented.Interacts professionally, appropriately, and courteously with co-workers and management; treats everyone with respect and dignity.Ability to use Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). Physical Requirements The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and depth perception. Employee must be able to enter tight spaces, and have the ability to regularly work at heights ranging from 4’ – 30’, working off scaffolds, walk boards, ladders, scissor lifts and boom lifts.
