Job purpose Our Assistant General Manager is an integral part of our Leadership team, managing day-to-day operations while collaborating with our teams to continually improve efficiencies. They are responsible for leading and mentoring a world-class team of operations professionals. Duties and ResponsibilitiesOversee day-to-day company operations to include Production, Purchasing, Materials Handling, and Maintenance.Define and implement operations strategy, structure, and processes.Monitor performance to proactively identify efficiency issues and propose solutions.Maintain a working knowledge of all phases of operations.Coordinate support to operations throughout the business.Interview, hire, train, and mentor the operations management team.Provide regular performance updates to the leadership team.Provide guidance and leadership to the production, materials, and maintenance teams. Qualifications EducationBachelor’s degree in business or similar field preferred. Specialized Knowledge and ExperienceAt least 10 years’ experience in Manufacturing leadership required, reaching across diverse areas.Lean Manufacturing5 years of ERP experience required. Skills and Abilities Other Skills & AttributesExcellent verbal and written communication.Ability to use ERP systems and Microsoft Office efficiently to accomplish tasks.Able to problem solve and work well with others to resolve issues.Capable of transitioning tasks quickly as business needs require. Strong analytical skills and organizational skills.Excellent attention to detail.High degree of honesty and integrity.Works well with teammates and contributes to a team environment. Must be action-oriented, with a “whatever it takes” attitude.Must display consistent quality in work with a continuous improvement mindset.Displays professionalism, courtesy when working with customers, outside parties and co-workers. Travel Up to 10% travel may required for this position.
