About the role:

We are seeking an energetic, quick-on-their-feet, not afraid to "walk the walk" Sales Account Manager, Wholesale. This employment opportunity is in Minneapolis, MN, on a full-time basis. Reporting to our Sales Director, North America, this newly created role is pivotal for our sales business. The successful candidate will build upon our relationships with our independent customer base while also being the key point of contact and responsible for day-to-day operations with our Sales Agency clients. They will have excellent customer relationship skills as well as a strong ability to acquire and nurture new business as the client base grows. The successful candidate will be well-organized, hardworking, and meticulous. Written skills and communication (verbal and written) must be excellent, as should be the ability to navigate and manage different systems and processes in the role. The role will require regular travel within a defined territory on a pre-arranged basis.

Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 3 years’ experience supporting sales and business development programs with retailers. As a grooming brand, our presence in both online and brick-and-mortar retailers is important to drive growth with our targeted consumers. Working with retail chains, however, can be complicated; many retailers have customized systems, unique processes, and numerous points of contact required for managing the day-to-day business. We will require the successful candidate to have experience or an ability to quickly learn the navigation and management of these unique processes and champion these systems.

Sales Executive Responsibilities :

• Hitting/exceeding targets within specified accounts.

• Maintaining and building strong, long-lasting client relationships.

• Identifying and managing new wholesale opportunities.

• Planning and implementing promotional programs with retailers.

• Being across contracts for designated territories including start and end dates, renewal dates, agreed pricing structure, invoices corresponding to contracted prices, etc.

• Providing input on sales tools, including decks, collateral, and briefing the creative team with accurate and timely information.

• Identifying upselling opportunities with existing clients to drive revenue growth.

• Maintaining detailed knowledge of Tooletries brand portfolio and having plans in place to build out and launch new products to market.

• Ensuring our business has regular communication with clients and being across any personnel changes that may impact the business – strategically scheduling meetings, calls, emails, and face-to-face interactions (where possible).

• Leading and delivering sales presentations to decision-makers focused on brand alignment and highlighting opportunities.

• Maintaining and reporting financial records for assigned accounts including sales, forecast, promotional activity to Sales Director (weekly).

• Responsibility for processing incoming Purchase Orders for set Accounts – knowledge of EDI processes desirable – where necessary.

• Executing vendor and item set up forms and online applications, promotional, and merchandising programs in retailer systems.

The Successful Candidate

• 3 years of experience in sales account management or business development in a similar role managing small to medium wholesale accounts within a defined region. Consumer Goods experience preferable.

• Previous experience using EDI systems (SPS Commerce, Opentext, Lingo, etc.) - desirable.

• Strong understanding of the domestic wholesale market related to the personal care or beauty & cosmetic industry – preferable.

• Excellent people skills and ability to build relationships.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• Outstanding attention to detail.

• Goal-oriented with a tenacious work ethic.

• Be an excellent brand ambassador of Tooletries and uphold our values.
